Michael Chan

Michael Chan, Ph.D. is Executive Director for Faith and Learning at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. He is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University (B.A.), Luther Seminary (M.A. in Old Testament), and Emory University (Ph.D.). Chan has written many articles and books including Exploring the Bible (with Eric Barreto). In addition to being a sought-after speaker and author, he also hosts the Gospel Beautiful podcast.

When people think about the Bible, they often think about an old, stuffy, and “holy” book. But what they often miss is that the Bible sometimes communicates its holy words in hilarious ways. This talk with explore the Bible’s most humorous texts, not only for the sake of entertainment, but also to demonstrate that humor is an important way in which God can speak to us, not only in the Bible but also today.
